Changes

I don't know why I have this incessant need to hold on to what was. I need to focus on being grateful for what is.


I'm not sure if it's the dent to my ego or the slap to my abandonment issue that is the true problem. Either way, I need to figure out how to change it.


They tell you things get better in sobriety. And they do. They don't get better at first. That's what they don't tell you. The growing pains in the first year are very challenging. I think that's why I've only ever made it past the first year one time.


I will make it this time. It's going to take a lot of work, but I'm going to do it.


Changes...

I need to let go of what has to leave and embrace what's meant to be.
